John Underdown, Jr, Bellevue (OH) Gazette, 10 Feb 1940, p4 c3; 14 Feb 1940, p2 c2 Mrs. Frances Krupp Dies Suddenly at Gardner St. Home Mrs. Frances B. Krupp, age 71, died at 10a.m. today at her home on Gardner street. She became ill Wednesday morning and passed into a coma from which she failed to rally. She was born June 20, 1868 at Frank, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dick. In 1898, she was united in marriage to Edward Krupp at Frank. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Bores, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. John Underdown, this city; one brother, John Dick, Tiffin; one sister, Mrs. George Williams, Toledo; and six grandchildren. One daughter, Gertrude, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30a.m. Monday at the Catholic church with the Rev. J. E. Maerder officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery in charge of the Foos funeral home. **************** JOHN D. UNDERDOWN, JR. MRS. FRANCES KRUPP Bellevue, Feb. 10 -- Double funeral services will be held Tuesday for John D. Uunderdown, Jr., 8, who died in Bellevue Hospital at 7:30pm Friday following an emergency appendectomy, and for his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frances Krupp, who died Thursday morning. The bodies of both Mrs. Krupp and young Underdown will be returned to the residence of the youth's parents, John A. and Helen Krupp Underdown, Gardner St., late Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted from the Immaculate Conception Church at 10a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J. E. Maerder officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. The Foos Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Underdown is survived by his parents, a sister Carol, his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Albert Underdown, and his maternal grandfather, Edward C. Krupp, all of Bellevue. He was born Feb. 18, 1933 at Bellevue, and was a second grade pupil in the Immaculate Conception parochial school.
