Taken from the Urban Krupp diary: Daniel came to America in the year 1836. Resided in Chicago Illinois for a few years then at Norwalk Ohio and finally settled in Tiffin in 1836. Taken from an obituary notice from a Tiffin, Ohio newspaper, found in the diary of Urban Krupp. Death of an Old Resident Daniel Krupp, one of the oldest residents of the city, died last night at 10 o'clock, at his home, No. 62 Liberty street, of typhoid pneumonia, aged seventy-two years, six months and eighteen days. The deceased was a native of Bavaria, and more than fifty years since immigrated to America, settling in the then village of Tiffin in 1836, where for many years he worked at his trade as a cooper. His wife died eight years since. Mr. Krupp leaves three living children, Anthony, the well known janitor of the Third Ward school building; the wife of William Zoellers, engineer at the Court House boiler house, and Frank, now in the East. He was universally respected, and a large circle of friends will regret his death, while rejoicing that he lived to a good old age in the enjoyment of many of the blessing of life. Funeral at St. Joseph's Catholic church as 8:30 to-morrow morning.
