Ralph Yost's Genealogy Page
I have two genealogy projects going right now:
1. Researching the origins of the YOSTs/JOSTs from Nospelt, Kehlen, Capellen, Luxembourg. Johann Jost (Yost) came to this country in 1848 and settled in Seneca County, Ohio, USA. I would like to know if there are any remaining family there. (see note below)
2. Researching the origins of the SCHREINER, KRUPP and YOST families from Alsace, France and Kübelberg, Germany. John (Joannis) Schreiner came to this country in 1853 and settled in Seneca County, Ohio, USA. I would like to know from which town they left Alsace and if there are any remaining family there.
If you have any information about these family lines or origins, please contact me at the email address below. (Note that this is NOT a hyperlink, but rather a jpg file to foil the bots that steal email addresses and then send you spam.)
Key Words: Jost, Yost; Schreiner; Shriner; Schriner; Krupp, Seneca County, Ohio, Nospelt, Kehlen, Capellen, Luxembourg, Kübelberg, Kusel, Rhein-Pfalz, Germany
I am indebted to Loretta Gerber, Dave Kuntz, Denise Pitzen, David Velten, Allan Koch, and Steve Herman for their help collaboration in the research of SCHREINER and KRUPP family origins. Others have also contributed and I appreciate their help as well.
I am indebted to Dr. Ronald A. Gase of the Netherlands for his help, instruction, and collaboration in the research of YOST family origins and members. The genealogy research work he has accomplished and posted on his web site http://ronald.gase.nl is extensive and serves as a model for others. His web site contains a thorough collection of YOST family members.
