Harold V. Pahl Harold V. Pahl, 79, 510 St. Mary's Ave., Carey, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, in Wyandot County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky. He was born April 5, 1924, in Salem Township, Wyandot County, to Firmen and Agnes (Wright) Pahl. On Oct. 16, 1948, in Bascom at St. Patrick's Catholic Church he married Imogene N. (Lauer) Pahl. She survives. Also surviving are: a son, Donald J. (Carol) Pahl of Carey; four daughters, Diane (James) Welly of Upper Sandusky; Teresa (Charles) Brodman of Carey, Karen (David) Mates of Fostoria, and Lisa J. Pahl of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Howard Pahl of Carey and David Pahl of Upper Sandusky. Preceding him in death were: his parents,; a brother, Cleo "Sam" Pahl; and a sister, Mildred Frankart. Mr. Pahl was a lifelong Wyandot County farmer. He attended Arcadia and Carey schools and St. Michael's Catholic School in Findlay. A horse enthusiast, he was a member of the United States Trotters Association, Wyandot County Farm Bureau, and a former member of Moose Lodge 1093 in Upper Sandusky. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey with the Rev. Leo Kennedy OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Salem Township.
