In a double-header, June 27, 2011 the SBC II team faced off against Gospel of Grace at the Fernwood Avenue field. SBC was ahead 9-0 in the first game when pitcher, Kelly Bird (just married yesterday to Mike Bird) was struck in the abdomen by the ball hit by a GOG player. Mike took her to Urgent Care and she was found to have no serious injuries. Thank you, Jesus!! 

The injury to our pitcher was upsetting and SBC II lost the first game 27-13. Kelly and Mike returned to the field and Mike played the second game of the double-header. It was an exciting squeaker of a game, but SBC II prevailed with a score of 6-5. Come on out and support the SBC teams!!! GOOOOOOO Scullville!!!!!
